Found Magazine is a treasure trove of mysterious notes, love letters, inane travel journal entries, shopping lists, threatening diatribes and appeals to conscience, and torn up missives pieced back together, all transformed into unexpected literary masterpieces. Found magazine collects found stuff: birthday cards, homework, to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, doodles - anything that gives a glimpse into someone else's life. Anything goes.

Found certainly didn't invent the idea of found stuff being cool. How many of your friends have unbelievable discovered notes and photos tacked to their fridges? One snowy winter night in Chicago a few years back, co-founder Davy Rothbart went out to his car and found a note on his windshield -- a note meant for someone else, a guy named Mario: (see picture). Enamored by the note’s amazing mixture of anger and hopefulness, he shared it with as many folks as he could, and each seemed to have a few finds to show in return; clearly Davy and crew weren't alone in their fascination with Found stuff. As a way for everyone to join forces and share finds with everyone else, they decided to start Found magazine, a showcase for all the strange, hilarious and heartbreaking things people have picked up.
